Langlade Memorial Hospital Honors Years Of Commitment And Contributions To The Organization

Langlade Memorial Hospital paid special tribute to some very long-term employees and retirees as they concluded the celebration of National Hospital Week.  Dave Schneider, Executive Director, Sister Dolores Demulling, of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph, and Board of Trustees Vice-President Mike Turney, recognized the employees and retirees at the annual service award banquets on May 19.  "It is a privilege to see so many employees receiving service awards today, Mr. Schneider stated.  It's a tribute to the fact that it takes every employee in every department to make the Hospital the high quality, caring and compassionate place our patients say that it is.  So we celebrate so many who contribute so much in so many different ways in service to others.  You are what our Mission is all about.   “A recent marketing survey conducted by the Hospital shows that our patients think very highly of the Hospital.  The study showed that it was the personal attention and caring attitude of the staff that separate us from the larger hospitals to our patients.  Bigger does not necessarily mean better to our patients”, concluded Schneider.

Individual service awards were presented to 63 employees and five retirees.  The awards are presented to employees who’ve reached the following service milestones:  five-year; 10-year, 15-year, 20-year, 25-year, 35-year, 40-year awards; and retirees.

“The annual service award banquet is a wonderful event for Administration and the award recipients, as it is designed to instill a spirit of loyalty and a deep-rooted feeling of being a part of our hospital family”, commented Janelle Markgraf, Human Resources Director.  “It is that rare opportunity when we can gather long-term employees and retirees in one place and celebrate with them and recognize them for their significant achievements during the course of their employment.”
